Dr Baldwin Carey - Nassau, Bahamas

I had the privilege of working under Dr. Baldwin Carey in the OB/GYN Dept. of Martin Luther King General Hospital in Los Angeles California. He was one of the forefront doctors in the country in the development of health services specifically aimed at inner city adolescents. The escalating problem of Adolescent Pregnancy, it's affect on the health of young mothers,their lack of pre-natal care and the health of their newborns were of primary concern to him. He successfully lead the development of Community Health Centers uniquely created to attract, educate and serve the health needs of the inner city teenage (minority)population.
